Big Media Corporations Fear The Public Domain

Big media corporations spend a lot of money lobbying governments to extend copyrights. If big media corporations had their way copyrights would last forever and nothing would enter the public domain.


At the beginning of the 20th century Thomas Edison's inventions started the film and recording industries, eventually these films and audio recordings will start entering the public domain. This material is part of the culture of the world. Once it enters the public domain we will be free to use it and create more content derived from this material and shape our on culture.


Big media does not want the people to shape the culture. They want to control and shape our culture. They want to tell us what to watch and what to listen to.


Corporations and governments do not create culture, people do. In order to build up public domain and give the power to the people, I have released another song into the public domain called "Brain Removal". You are free to use and abuse it any way you want. Screw the big media corporatins

I'm Taking a HTML class

I just began taking a class on HTML at my local community college. I have already started to implement changes to my website using the things I have learned at class. I have changed all the titles of my webpages to reflect the contents of the pages, so now when people add any of my pages to their favorites folder it will say what is actually on that webpage instead of goofy things like, "Homepage" or "New Page". I have set up any links on my website, that take you off my website, to open a seperate browser window. I also have added a pop-up text to my contact link to let people know clicking there will start up their e-mail program. I am really enjoying taking this class.
